You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Moshi or Arusha town, at your arranged hotel. You will meet your driver guide who will brief you on your upcoming safaris, then rest until the next day morning.
Your safari begins at 8:00 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Once everyone is on board, you’ll start the 240 km drive to Serengeti National Park, which takes about 6 hours. “Serengeti,” meaning “endless plains,” perfectly describes the vast grasslands that stretch out to meet the sky. Covering 14,763 square kilometers, the Serengeti is home to the famed “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard) along with other beautiful animals like the graceful impala.
Known for its abundant wildlife, the park hosts one of Africa’s largest concentrations of plains game. In the central Seronera area, the Seronera River draws a wide range of animals, including many lion prides and leopards. The area’s iconic granite “kopjes” offer shelter for various plants and animals. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive, then end the day with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.
You have two options for today’s game drives. You can either enjoy a relaxed breakfast and start a full-day game drive at 9:00 AM with a packed lunch, returning to the lodge around 6:00 PM, or begin with an early game drive at 6:00 AM, then return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation before heading out again in the afternoon. Today, you’ll explore the central Serengeti, known as the Seronera area, which is rich in wildlife thanks to the Seronera River. This region is famous for its large lion prides and leopards, providing incredible year-round game viewing. With a packed lunch, you’ll have the chance to observe these magnificent animals throughout the day, ending with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.
After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.
On the last day of your safari, you will have an early start. Finishing up with a quick breakfast you will make an early descent at around 6:30 AM into the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4hr drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off to your preferred location in Arusha by 6:00 PM in the evening. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you bid goodbye to your team.
